I'm intializing the table with the var table = $('datatable').Datatable ({});. Then to populate the div with the buttons I use: table.buttons( 0, null ).containers().appendTo( '#buttons' );.

EDIT 2: The problem actually seems to be with some of our JS that is interactive weirdly with the datatable. So I believe the solution is outside the scope of this support forum.

You can use the className option to assign classes to them, and use the buttons().container() to put them into a container. Thats what I did with mine..

If I were you, id use the ajax param with a closure, and use the filter method within lodash, (Or even UnderscoreJS works, I just think LoDash is better )

I'm seeing a problem with the initial display when using Scroller with serverSide and scrollCollapse both set to true. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and/or has a workaround.
