Can you please let me know if the query.dataTables.editable.js file is aprat of the DataTables API as it is not part of the download.

    The Editable plug-in for DataTables is 3th party software that can be downloaded here: http://code.google.com/p/jquery-datatables-editable/ . If you have any problems with the plug-in, I'd suggest you ask on that site.
