CardView
CardView adds a second display mode to DataTables, which can replace the standard table view with one made up of repeating cards. A custom template card can be defined in your HTML, or you can use one of the built in templates, and when active the source table is replaced by a card layout, with one card per row of the table. CardView fully syncs with DataTables, so all of the advanced filtering and state saving of DataTables can be used. CardView can also automatically switch between table and cards view in response to the screensize, making it ideal for responsive sites.
Features
CardView provides the following features to enhance a DataTable:
- Option to display row entries as cards
- Custom templates can be used for full layout control
- Dynamic page fitting
- Automatic (and adjustable) layout fitting
- Dynamic responsive display for tables
- User definable display through buttons or API calls.
As with all DataTables extensions it can of course have all language strings localised, has complete documentation, and has styling integration with all of the DataTables supported styling libraries (e.g. Bootstrap, Bulma, Fomantic UI and others).

Specifically, use the two buttons at the top of the table to switch between card and table view. The real power of CardView becomes more apparent when you use your own templates, however, this shows the basic behaviour and how well CardView can work for responsive sites / apps.
